Dear Parents,
Here are some important upcoming dates to remember-
Thriller Week- October 28th-November 2nd. Dancers are welcome to come in Halloween costume (NO accessories please)
No classes on Halloween night Thursday, October 31st.
Christmas costume fee of $30 per dancer is due By November 15th. ALL classes will wear the same costume. Open classes and tumbling do not perform at the recital and will NOT need a costume.
Dance shoes required for class and recitals-
Mini’s and Ballet- Pink Ballet shoes
Jazz, Diva’s, & Elate- Tan gore bootsEdge Team- Nude FootundeezHip Hop- All black high top tennis shoes
Belly & Hoop-Barefeet
This month MDC teachers are cracking down on the dress code. Dancers MUST have proper footwear for class and come with hair pulled back. Below is the required DRESS CODE. We will be enforcing this dress code for safety and training purposes.
Dress Code:
ALL students are required to have hair pulled back, absolutley No street clothes allowed in any class, and NO jewelry is allowed.
Ballet- Must wear tights, ballet shoes and a leotard of any color choice, skirts are allowed.
Jazz/Technique- Must have on dance or athletic clothing & dance shoes.
Hip Hop- Free to dress in moveable athletic clothes, must wear tennis shoes. NO jeans are allowed. May wear: hats, beanies, knee pads or elbow pads.
Tumbling/Acro- Must have tight fitting athletic clothing, no baggy tee’s or sweats.
Diva, Elate, Edge Teams- Any dance clothing, bring dance shoes and tennis to each class.
Mini dance-Free to dress up in any dance or athletic attire, must have ballet shoes.
Competition Team- Team black leotard, gore boots or half soles
