Online Classes
Dear Parents, We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with our dancers online. We have set up our Zoom meetings and our YouTube channel for our dancers to stay active, engaged, and connected with our incredible teachers. Each teacher has a playlist on our youtube channel that the dancers can access anytime thru out the week! Our channel ishttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr6uA30OM38rX_L-ww6JkXA?view_as=subscriber We also have other playlists available on our channel with great resources for our dancers to use for stretching, gaining strength, and working on technique. Please have dancers look for the teachers link of the week and practice prior to your scheduled zoom meeting time.
Zoom Meetings will be held weekly following the schedule attached. Each class will receive an e mail invitation to the meeting the day of your class. You will have to create a Zoom account to attend but it is simple and FREE. The meeting will be for the teachers to follow up with our students regarding recital pieces, YouTube tutorials, and give time for feedback and Q & A from our dancers. Please have your dancer in dance clothes and clear a space for them to move around.
Please follow these steps to join-You will need an electronic device that can access the internet.Make sure tablet or phone is charged or have a charger available.Turn on do not disturb option on phone or tablet.Find link to Zoom meeting in your e mail.Copy and paste meeting ID and Password (This keeps us safe from hackers and uninvited guests). Please keep microphone off unless unmuted by teacher.Dancers need to have a water bottle by the designated space and use the restroom before class. We would prefer dancer not leave during zoom class time.
We are still planning on a recital for our dancers to perform onstage when it is safe for everyone to be together! They can use the dropbox links for music and practice videos. Teacher Ricci is working on also adding the practice videos to our YouTube playlists for easy access for our dancers and parents.
Thank you for your support during these trying times. We appreciate you.
Happy Online Dancing, MDC
