Dear Parents,

  MDC is so excited to share this news as we take precautions but are able to move forward with our annual show and our class pictures.

Pictures will be held at the studio on Thursday, June 11th. Schedule to be posted soon.Hello Dancer will now take a picture of every dancer to be composited into a group shot whether they purchase or not. They have a feature on the website that will allow images to be purchased after picture day for those wanting pictures but needing more time. Pre-ordering provides more options and better pricing.Parents need to understand that they must register online for ALL the groups for their dancer(s) otherwise their picture will not be taken for the group.
Listed below are additional measures we’d like to put in place to help keep everyone healthy and safe. 

  • Our team will be taking the following precautions:
    • Social distancing between dancers will be enforced in the picture room. 
    • Our photo set will be sanitized throughout the shoot.
    • We will have dancers sanitize their hands as they enter and leave the picture room.
    • All members of our team will wear masks and sanitize their hands throughout the day.
    • We will not have a salesperson at the shoot but sales representatives will be available to respond to questions submitted online.  
  • On the studio side, we request the following:
    • Someone from the studio would be responsible for bringing dancers to the picture room and back to their parents. 
    • The studio would be responsible for regulating social distancing for dancers outside the picture room while they wait or change.
    • No parents will be allowed in the picture room
    • Keep the high touch surface areas disinfected throughout the day.
    • Studio staff should wear masks and wash or sanitize their hands throughout the day.
  • On the parent side, we request the following:
    • Dancers need to be registered for each of their groups online prior to being dropped off or pictures will not be taken.
    • Anyone showing any symptoms should remain home and not participate in pictures. 
    • If possible, parents should remain in their cars as they wait for dancers (wait times would be minimal).

Recital at Syracuse Arts Academy North OUTDOOR amphitheater on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30PMWe are so excited for the opportunity to perform, get together,  and cheer for the hard work of our dancers and teachers.  This is going to be an exciting night.  The amphitheater has guidelines in place to help keep everyone safe.Families can enter up to 6 at a time and sit together. Each family will be seated 6 feet apart.  The grass area will be available for families of up to 6 and will also have the social distance between families.  You can bring a blanket or camp chairs and enjoy the best seats in the house.  The dancers will be required to sign a wavier that they are showing no signs of sickness and have a temperature check before heading backstage in order to perform.  No fee to enter our show.We do need MDC families that are participating to pay the $35 recital fee ASAP.  This fee is per family and we will not have entrance fees at the door.  This will cover all costs for the show including amphitheater rental, technical crew, staff fees, programs, props, music editing, monitor rentals, and additional show costs.

Thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times.  We are so glad to be back at dance and preparing for this special night with our MDC dance family.
